Tiger Woods arrested on DUI charge after vehicle rollover

Florida

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on a two-lane road near Woods’ residence in Jupiter Island. Officials said Woods was driving a Land Rover when the accident took place during the afternoon hours. Sheriff John Budensiek stated at a press briefing that Woods had been attempting to overtake a work truck pulling a trailer at high speed when he clipped the rear of the vehicle. The impact caused his car to roll onto its side. Woods reportedly managed to crawl out through the passenger-side door before emergency responders arrived at the scene. The 15-time major champion was taken into custody and later released the same day.
