The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has appointed Parashuram Kerehalli as the in-charge for the Davangere Assembly by-election campaign. The announcement was made by R Dharma Sen, State President of the KPCC Scheduled Castes Division, who instructed Kerehalli to lead efforts to ensure the victory of Congress candidate Samarth Mallikarjun Shamanur, grandson of Shamanur Shivshankarappa.
Parashuram Kerehalli, who is the District Vice President of Koppal District SC Unit and Congress District Media Spokesperson, has been tasked with managing election campaign strategies, coordinating with media, and communicating the party’s message effectively to voters. He will work under the guidance of senior Congress leaders to strengthen party outreach during the by-election.
Kerehalli expressed his gratitude to senior leaders, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Koppal District In-charge Minister Shivraj S. Thangadagi, Chief Minister’s Financial Adviser Basavaraj Rayareddy, Koppal MLA K. Raghavendra Hitnal, MP K. Rajasekhar Hitnal, and former MP Sanganna Kardi. He also thanked local leaders and workers for their support and cooperation.
The KPCC has intensified election preparations by assigning specific responsibilities to district media spokespersons and other leaders to boost campaign activities across the state. Kerehalli’s appointment is expected to strengthen the Congress party’s efforts in Davangere and mobilize workers to ensure an effective voter outreach for the upcoming by-election.
Senior party members emphasized unity and coordinated effort to secure a strong performance in the constituency.
