Major DDoS attack targets Uyghur post website

Washington DC
Uyghur Post faced a major, coordinated cyberattack that disrupted its website for days, according to Uyghur Times (UT). Daily service requests surged to 185 million, overwhelming servers and causing repeated outages. Technical analysis traced much of the traffic to an IP in Singapore linked to Baidu Netcom, though this has not been independently confirmed. Experts said the attack resembles prior state-supported operations targeting Uyghur media. The incident has been reported to the FBI and CISA. Uyghur Post’s founder called it part of a broader campaign to silence independent Uyghur voices globally.
