India’s office market started 2026 strongly, with leasing reaching 18.3 million square feet in the first quarter, up 15 percent from last year, a report said. Major cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad led demand, contributing nearly half of total leasing. Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR and Chennai also showed steady activity. Hyderabad and Pune recorded more than double growth. Global Capability Centers drove nearly half the demand. New supply rose 19 percent to 11.8 million square feet. Technology and banking firms remained key drivers, while flexible workspace leasing jumped sharply, showing rising popularity across cities in India.
