Hiring in India’s e-commerce and quick commerce sector has risen 35 percent in the past two years, a report by CIEL HR said. Roles grew from 73,320 in 2023 to nearly 98,750 in 2025, with technology and engineering positions seeing the largest jump. Demand for software developers, AI, and machine learning experts is surging, while supply chain and fulfillment roles rose 25 percent. Cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai lead in tech hiring. The sector increasingly values digital skills, offering higher salaries, reflecting the shift toward AI-driven, resilient e-commerce operations.
