Bangladesh legends join World Championship of Legends

NEW DELHI
The World Championship of Legends (WCL) has officially expanded its borders, announcing that the “Bangladesh Champions” will join the league for its highly anticipated third season. This historic move marks a major step in the tournament’s goal to become a truly global celebration of cricket’s greatest retired icons.
The WCL has already gained a massive following by bringing superstars like Yuvraj Singh, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle back to the pitch. By adding a Bangladeshi team, the league is tapping into one of the most passionate cricket cultures in the world. WCL Founder Harshit Tomar noted that the decision was a direct response to years of intense fan demand from the region.
Leading the charge for the new team is star player Mohammad Mahmudullah, who expressed immense pride in representing his nation on such a prestigious global stage. The team, backed by JCUK Sports Ltd, aims to connect the Bangladeshi diaspora with their sporting heroes through high-intensity matches. Mahmudullah emphasized that while the players are “legends,” their competitive spirit remains as sharp as ever.
With this new addition, WCL 2026 will now feature legendary squads from seven different nations. Fans can look forward to a season filled with national pride, iconic matchups, and the nostalgic thrill of seeing world-class veterans face off once again. This expansion ensures that the third season will be the most diverse and competitive in the league’s growing history.
