New rewards for duty free airport shoppers

Blurb: IndiGo partners with Adani Airports to reward BluChips members with points for duty-free shopping, making travel smoother, quicker, and more rewarding across major Indian airports.

AHMEDABAD
Flying just got a little more rewarding for millions of travelers across India. Budget airline IndiGo has teamed up with Adani Airports to give loyal passengers a special treat.

Starting today, members of the airline’s “BluChips” program can earn points every time they shop at duty-free stores located in several major Indian cities.
The deal is straightforward and easy to use. For every 100 rupees spent on luxury goods or travel essentials, shoppers will receive five reward chips. To get the deal, travelers simply browse and pay for their items online through a special digital portal before they even leave for the airport. Once they arrive, they can quickly pick up their pre-packed bags at a designated counter, saving time and avoiding long lines.
This partnership brings together the nation’s largest airline and its biggest private airport operator. Leaders from both companies say the goal is to make the journey feel more connected and beneficial. They want to reward customers for more than just their time spent in the air. Currently, this offer is live in busy hubs like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow, with plans to expand soon to newer locations like the recently opened Navi Mumbai airport.
Points are added to a traveler’s account within two days of their purchase. By linking their membership IDs to the shopping platform, passengers can watch their rewards grow while they fly. It is a smart move that turns a routine airport stroll into a way to save money on future trips and experiences.
