Actors Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh are set to share screen space in an upcoming thriller-drama titled Raftaar. The film was officially announced on Saturday by Amazon MGM Studios through its social media platform. According to the announcement, the film is expected to release in theatres on July 24, 2026.
The makers describe Raftaar as a gripping and intense drama that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The story unfolds in the highly competitive education industry and revolves around a rapidly growing start-up. It focuses on the lives of two ambitious individuals whose dreams of success slowly begin to clash.
As the company expands and gains attention, the pressure of money, power, and influence starts affecting their personal and professional lives. The relationship between the two central characters is tested as they struggle to balance ambition, trust, and rivalry in a demanding environment.
The film is directed by Aditya Nimbalkar and produced by Patralekhaa under the banner of Kampa Film. The story and screenplay have been written by Rohan Narula, while Tarun Bali serves as the executive producer.
Apart from Rao and Suresh, the movie features a strong supporting cast including Anurag Thakur, Rohan Verma, Tanya Maniktala and Rajat Kapoor in important roles. The makers have not yet revealed further details about the storyline or production schedule.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao has several upcoming projects. He will soon appear in Nikam, a film based on the life of noted public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam.
Keerthy Suresh was last seen in the Telugu film Revolver Rita, directed by J.K. Chandru. The film also featured Radhika Sarathkumar, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh and John Vijay in key roles.
