Chief MinisterSiddaramaiah has lashed out at the central government, saying that Modi, who is tarnishing the country’s reputation globally, should resign.
Sharing on his X account, he said that the increase in LPG prices will be costly for middle-class families. This increase is not an inevitable measure. India’s poor and middle-class families are suffering from inflation and price hikes. At this time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has expressed anger that the increase in LPG cylinder prices is like a kick to the ground.
The increase in the price of domestic cylinders by about Rs 60 will make the cost of living of poor and middle class families more expensive. This increase is not an inevitable step, it is the result of a foreign policy that mistakenly considered surrender as the country’s strategy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that by nodding his head in silence to America, India’s strategic independence has been placed at the feet of another country.
He has ruined India’s long-standing energy partnerships with countries like Russia and Iran. The Prime Minister seems to have forgotten that these are countries that have ensured energy security for Indians for decades. According to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Foreign policy is a consequence of economic policy. Nehru’s warning, given seven or eight decades ago, has come true literally today.
When diplomacy becomes a spectacle rather than a strategy, the poor and the middle class inevitably suffer. In his recent book, former Army Chief General MM Naravane raised serious concerns about the lack of institutional consultation and strategic understanding in India’s foreign policy decisions. He said this confirms the suspicion that the Prime Minister lacks a fundamental understanding of diplomatic posture and its economic implications.
India’s current foreign policy failure shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fear of the Epstein files and his ignorance in diplomatic decisions. Let the Prime Minister explain why crores of Indians should pay the price for his diplomatic failure. Modi, who is tarnishing the country’s reputation globally, should publicly apologize to the people of the country and resign, he has been asked.
