Ram Charan’s Peddi Sets Huge North America Target

Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi is already creating strong buzz, especially in North America. Despite facing two setbacks after the global success of RRR, the actor’s popularity seems steady. In fact, the excitement around Peddi is said to be even higher than his recent films.

The strong hype has reflected in business deals overseas. According to reports, the North American theatrical rights have been sold for a high price. Trade tracker Venky Box Office has reported that the film’s breakeven target in the region is around $6.5 million. However, some industry sources suggest the actual figure may be slightly lower, at over $5 million. Even then, it remains a big target.

Trade experts believe Peddi will likely open strong with its premiere shows in North America. Ram Charan’s global fame after RRR and the positive response to the promotional material have helped build momentum. If the film receives good reviews and positive word of mouth, crossing $5 million could be achievable. However, touching or crossing $6 million would require the film to perform at blockbuster level.

Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. The film features music by AR Rahman and stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. After being postponed earlier, the film is now set to release on April 30, 2026. The makers are also planning to release the second song soon to boost pre-release excitement.
