The much-awaited Sri Guru Revanasiddeshwara Jatre Mahotsava will be held on February 15 and 16 at DM Palya village in Tumakuru district, according to information released by the organisers. The religious and cultural festival is expected to draw large numbers of devotees from Tumakuru and neighbouring districts.

Sri Guru Revanasiddeshwara is revered by devotees as a symbol of spiritual guidance, social harmony, and devotion. The annual jatre is traditionally organised with great devotion and enthusiasm, reflecting the deep-rooted faith of the local community. Preparations for the festival are currently underway, with villagers actively participating in arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the event.

As per the programme schedule, special poojas, abhisheka, and alankara of the deity will be performed on both days. Devotees will be given the opportunity to offer prayers and seek blessings throughout the festival. Religious discourses and devotional programmes are also planned as part of the celebrations, highlighting the teachings and spiritual significance of Sri Guru Revanasiddeshwara.

In addition to religious rituals, the jatre will feature cultural programmes, including folk music, traditional dance performances, and other local art forms. Temporary stalls selling food items, devotional articles, toys, and household goods are expected to add to the festive atmosphere, making the jatre a major social gathering for the region.

The organising committee has stated that necessary arrangements are being made for crowd management, drinking water, sanitation, and basic medical facilities for devotees. Volunteers will be deployed to assist pilgrims, while coordination with local authorities is being ensured to maintain law and order during the event.

Devotees from nearby villages have been invited to participate in the Sri Guru Revanasiddeshwara Jatre Mahotsava and make the occasion a grand success. Organisers have appealed to the public to cooperate with arrangements and follow guidelines to ensure a peaceful and spiritually enriching celebration.

The two-day jatre at DM Palya is expected to strengthen community bonding while preserving traditional religious practices that have been followed for generations in the Tumakuru region.
