Spanish Ambassador Launches Book on AI Future, Highlights India’s Global Role

His Excellency Juan Antonio March-Pujol, Ambassador of Spain to India, launched his latest book The Great Reset [CTRL+ALT+HUMAN] at a programme held on February 3 at the Senate Hall, Vivanta by Taj, Mangaluru, underscoring themes of artificial intelligence, global cooperation and education reform. The event was part of the Ambassador’s official multi-day visit to the coastal city.

Ambassador March-Pujol described the book as a work linking future technological breakthroughs with contemporary geopolitics. In his address, he said the narrative explores global challenges and the need for collective frameworks to manage transformative technologies.

In a moderated discussion, the Ambassador reflected on India’s historical integration since 1947, noting its potential relevance to future global governance structures. He suggested that no nation can prosper in isolation in an increasingly multipolar world shaped by innovation and AI.

The Ambassador addressed implications of artificial intelligence for education and employment, stating that AI will create new opportunities even as it reshapes traditional jobs. He urged education systems to adapt, emphasizing continuous learning and innovation.

The book launch took place against the backdrop of the Spain-India Dual Year 2026, commemorating 70 years of diplomatic relations and focusing on culture, tourism and cooperation in emerging technologies. The Ambassador outlined plans for academic collaboration involving representatives from Spanish and Indian universities, as well as sports exchange initiatives.

During his visit, he also interacted with students and faculty at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, and St Aloysius (Deemed to be University). Before departing for Delhi, he visited Rosario Cathedral and Milagres Church.

Ambassador March-Pujol highlighted the future potential of AI-enabled translation technologies to reduce language barriers globally.
