“Participate in Sri Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Mahayajna on Feb 14”

The poster for the Sri Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Mahayajna, to be held under the aegis of Avadhoota Datta Peetham and under the leadership of Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji, was released on Ooty Road at the premises of Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Ashram by Sri Dattavijayananda Swamiji and MLA T.S. Srivatsa.

The Mahayajna is scheduled to take place on February 14 at the Maharaja’s College Grounds in Mysuru.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji said that the recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa enhances human longevity and health, and that the entire world is being protected by the divine power of Lord Anjaneya. “The power of Hanuman, who united Lord Rama and Goddess Sita, is immense. On February 14, a Sri Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Mahayajna will be held at Maharaja’s College Grounds in Mysuru with the participation of lakhs of devotees. Anna Prasada and Hanuma Raksha (protective sacred offering) would be distributed to everyone.

Sri Dattavijayananda Bala Swamiji said that devotees across the world have established Anjaneya idols, temples, ashrams, and devotional centres under the inspiration of Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji. Despite this global presence, the senior pontiff has immense affection and devotion towards Mysuru. As per his mother’s wish, he established the Karya Siddhi Anjaneya Shakti Kendra in Mysuru and has been continuously organising religious activities with the participation of devotees, without any caste discrimination. The Hanuman Chalisa Parayana has entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Devotees may recite the Hanuman Chalisa in their homes and then collectively participate in the mass recitation on February 14 to receive divine blessings.

Srivatsa said that Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji has widely propagated the strength of Hindu Dharma at the international level by organising Hanuman Chalisa recitations and installing majestic Karya Siddhi Anjaneya idols even abroad.

He recalled Swamiji’s humanitarian service during the COVID-19 crisis, when 10,000 food packets and health-protection materials were distributed daily to Mysuru residents. Besides, as many as 16 temples have been renovated in the civic workers’ colony, where religious practices and rituals were taught to civic workers, thereby conveying a powerful message of social equality.

Congress leaders N.M. Naveen Kumar, K.R. Satyanarayana, Nazarbad Nataraj, Jeevadara Girish, Vikas Shastri, Ajay Shastri, Vikram Iyengar, Rakesh Bhatt, Dr. Lakshmi, Jagadeesh, Prakash Priyadarshi, Ranganath, Jayasimha, Jatti Prasad, S.N. Rajesh, Mahesh Kamath, and several others were present.
