Vijayapura district has secured third place at the state level for its outstanding performance under the Bhoomi Scheme, marking a significant administrative achievement. The recognition was conferred by the Revenue Department’s Bhoomi Monitoring Cell, which issued a letter of appreciation acknowledging the district’s efficient implementation and timely disposal of applications.

According to officials, the achievement is based on the district’s performance during December 2025, when a total of 14,060 applications submitted by the public were processed and disposed of within the stipulated time frame. The swift and systematic handling of applications played a crucial role in elevating Vijayapura district to third position among all districts in the state.

During the same period, the district recorded a sigma value of 5.52, resulting in a Disposal Index of 4.58766. Officials said this performance clearly reflects the effective and result-oriented implementation of the Bhoomi Scheme in the district. The Disposal Index is considered a key indicator of efficiency, measuring how promptly and effectively land-related applications are resolved.

The Bhoomi Monitoring Cell stated that this notable achievement was possible due to the committed guidance of district-level officers and the dedicated efforts of all concerned officials and staff. Their coordinated work, accountability and focus on public service delivery were identified as the main reasons behind the success.
