Kannada film actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Karunya Ram has filed a complaint with the Central Crime Branch (CCB) against her sister Samriddhi Ram and several others for allegedly misappropriating money and jewelry, as well as sending abusive messages on social media.
Karunya, a resident of RR Nagar, alleged that her sister used gold and cash worth around Rs 25 lakh from their house without informing the family. Samriddhi is reported to have lost money in her boutique business and invested heavily in online betting, causing a rift with her family. The complaint also names individuals—Pratibha, Kapil, Prajwal, Rakshit, and Sagar—accused of harassing the actress after providing loans to Samriddhi. Some allegedly sent obscene messages via WhatsApp and made derogatory comments on social media photos.
Karunya Ram, who has appeared in films such as Vajrakaya, Kiragurina Gayyaligalu, and Petromax, stated on social media that she would provide further details soon and requested privacy while celebrating the festival with her family.
The actress had earlier filed a complaint against her sister in 2023, highlighting ongoing family disputes over financial and personal matters. The CCB has registered the case and initiated an investigation based on the documentation submitted by Karunya.
