Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) here has achieved a significant achievement. It handled 4.3 crore passengers in 2025 alone, earning global acclaim.
The number of passengers at Bengaluru International Airport has increased by 8 percent. 4.3 crore passengers travelled in 2025, with passenger service, performance, cargo and freight increasing. This has resulted in record growth in both passengers and cargo in 2025 itself.
This year, there has been an 8 percent increase over last year, with 28.7 percent of international passengers travelling. International departures have also increased from 38 to 51.
It set a record by handling 1,37,317 passengers from Bengaluru on November 23, 2025. On October 19, 2025, it handled a maximum of 837 air traffic movements, handling 5,20,985 tonnes. This is a 5 percent growth and the highest cargo handling of 2,207 tonnes in a single day. The airport has added a total of 10 new routes, including 5 domestic and 5 international.
