AR Rahman Makes Acting Debut With Prabhudeva In Moonwalk

Music legend A R Rahman is all set to make his acting debut with the upcoming film Moonwalk. The film, directed by Manoj N S, will feature Rahman alongside Prabhudeva and is scheduled for release in May 2026.

Known worldwide for his musical brilliance, Rahman will now be seen in front of the camera for the first time. In Moonwalk, he plays a quirky and slightly angry film director. Adding to the excitement, Rahman has also sung all five songs in the film, ensuring his voice is heard throughout the soundtrack.

Director Manoj N S said working with Rahman and Prabhudeva was a joyful experience. He revealed that the song Mayile, featuring both stars, turned out beautifully and is expected to be a visual treat for audiences. He praised Prabhudeva for delivering one of his best dance performances and thanked choreographer Sekhar Master for enhancing the song.

Manoj N S also shared that Rahman appears prominently in the song, bringing a unique charm. Later, when offered an extended role, Rahman agreed, surprising the team. The director said audiences would not expect this special scene and that the set was filled with happiness while Rahman explored acting.

Prabhudeva plays Babootty, a lively and fun film choreographer, and has a major role in the story. The film also features Yogi Babu in a role that will be revealed later.

The cast includes Aju Varghese, Arjun Ashokan, Redin Kingsley, Rajendran, Swaminathan, and others. With music, dance, and humor, Moonwalk promises an entertaining cinema experience.
