Shivamogga MLA S N Channabasappa on Sunday morning visited Dollars Colony in Ward No. 03 of Shivamogga city to review local issues and take feedback directly from residents. The visit was aimed at understanding ground-level problems and ensuring their speedy resolution.
During the inspection, the MLA interacted with local residents and concerned officials, listening to grievances related to civic amenities. Residents brought to his attention issues including drinking water supply and other basic infrastructure concerns affecting daily life in the area.
After reviewing the situation, Channabasappa issued clear instructions to officials to resolve the problems expeditiously and in an effective manner. He stressed that delays in addressing public issues would not be tolerated and directed departments concerned to work in coordination to provide immediate relief to residents.
A major focus of the visit was the drinking water supply in Dollars Colony. The MLA specifically instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted and quality drinking water to all households. He said that public inconvenience due to irregular or poor-quality water supply should be avoided at any cost, and necessary measures must be taken to maintain consistent distribution.
Officials accompanying the MLA assured him that steps would be taken promptly to address the issues raised by residents. They informed him that corrective actions, including technical checks and monitoring of water supply systems, would be initiated to prevent recurring problems. Residents appreciated the MLA’s visit and his direct engagement with the public. They expressed hope that the assurances given would translate into swift action on the ground.
