Religious Meet Held under Dharmasthala Grama Abhivruddhi Yojane

A religious and community programme was organised at Bhatambra village highlighting Dharmasthala Grama Abhivruddhi Yojane initiatives.

Bhalki taluk witnessed a spiritually enriching and socially meaningful programme as a religious gathering and community event was organised at Bhatambra village under the Dharmasthala Grama Abhivruddhi Yojane. The programme was held with the objective of promoting holistic rural development alongside spiritual and cultural values, drawing active participation from villagers and local leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sagar Khandre said that the Dharmasthala Grama Abhivruddhi Yojane is playing a vital role in empowering rural communities and improving the quality of life of villagers. He noted that programmes conducted under the scheme are directly contributing to social progress and economic upliftment at the grassroots level. The MP highlighted that initiatives such as collective prayers, religious gatherings, and social awareness activities help strengthen unity and moral values among people.

The event included a collective special prayer, followed by a religious assembly, which was formally inaugurated by lighting the lamp. Through various welfare-oriented activities such as self-help group support, financial assistance, women empowerment programmes, educational aid, and health awareness initiatives, the Dharmasthala Grama Abhivruddhi Yojane has been delivering impactful results in the region. Speakers appreciated the scheme for its comprehensive approach toward village development.

It was also recalled that senior Rajya Sabha member Veerendra Heggade had extended financial support of ₹5 crore for rural development initiatives in Bidar district, which has significantly boosted ongoing projects. The contribution was described as a source of pride and encouragement for villagers.

Addressing the gathering, district director of the Dharmasthala Grama Abhivruddhi Yojane Muraleedhar H.L. explained that the scheme functions as a charitable trust and actively supports self-help groups by providing easy loans, drinking water facilities, lake rejuvenation, temple development, and grants for community halls. He said numerous social programmes are being implemented to ensure sustainable development in villages.
