Applications open under PM Matsya Sampada Yojana for fisheries

Fisheries Department invites applications under PMMSY for vehicles and fish vending units across selected villages

The Department of Fisheries has invited applications from eligible beneficiaries for the year 2025–26 under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) as part of the Dharati Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utsav Abhiyan (DAJGUA). The scheme aims to strengthen livelihood opportunities for those engaged in fisheries by providing essential infrastructure support. The last date for submission of applications is December 31.

Under this initiative, applications are being invited for the distribution of nine two-wheelers, three three-wheelers, and one live fish vending unit. These benefits are targeted at improving mobility, marketing reach and income generation for fishers involved in fish production and marketing activities. Only residents of villages specifically identified and approved by the Central government under the DAJGUA component are eligible to apply for assistance.

In Chitradurga taluk, applicants from villages such as Byalal, Heggare, Palakihalli, Madakaripura, Bommanagathihalli, Muddapura, Avalenahalli, Kadabanakatte, Haikal, Pelurahatti, Hunasekatte, Kalkunte, Megalahalli, Kallenahalli, Gonuru, Ingaladalu and Kennodlu are eligible.

In Hiriyur taluk, residents of Bagganadu, Iddalanagenahalli and Arashinagundi villages can apply. Hosadurga taluk includes Nagathihalli and Kasappanahatti villages, while Holalkere taluk covers villages such as Kagalakere, Vishwanathanahalli, Kodagavalli, Chikkanakatte, Kaval, Arehalli, Gattihosahalli, Pampapura, Kyadigere and Kadavagere.

A large number of villages across Challakere taluk have also been included under the scheme, such as Maleboranahatti, Mustalagummi, Chowlagere, Guntakolammanahalli, Bukloorahatti, Mallurahalli, Dasaramuttenahalli, Hirekere Kaval, Bhimagondanahalli, Ramadurga, Nelagetanahatti, Obbaiyyanahatti, Gajjaganahalli, Kudapura, Kartikenahalli, Varavu, Gaurasamudra, Mailenahalli, Chikkullarthi, Kaluvahalli, Maduru, Nannival, Budnahatti, Bomberahalli, Putturahalli and Timmananayakanakote, among others. In Molakalmuru taluk, villages including Bandaravi, Bommadevarahalli, Kanakuppe, Konapura, Urtal, Ramasagara, Nagasamudra, Hanagal, Guddadahalli, Talavarahalli, Yerrenahalli, Rayapura, Marlahalli, Neralahalli, Tumakurlahalli, Chikkunti, Surrammanahalli, Muttigarahalli, Marammanahatti and Netrhalli have been identified as eligible.
