The Phone-in programme is getting good response for the citizens to solve their problems rapidly

The Commissioner of Bengaluru North City Corporation, Pommala Sunil Kumar, conducted a Phone-In Programme on Friday at 7 AM from the Byatarayanapura Control Room located on Amruthahalli Main Road. During the session, he listened to the grievances of citizens and provided direct responses.
The Commissioner launched the Phone-In Programme on September 26. Over the past 11 weeks, a total of 608 complaints have been received. All complaints were forwarded to the respective officials. Actions have already been taken on 428 complaints.
As 28 complaints did not fall under the jurisdiction of the North City Corporation, they were forwarded to the concerned departments. Directions have been issued to officials to take immediate action on the remaining 130 pending complaints.
In Friday’s programme, 29 complaints related to road conditions were received. The Commissioner informed that the work of filling potholes, both day and night, is already in progress across the Corporation limits. He instructed officials to accelerate pothole repair and road restoration work with priority, ensuring quality, and to place greater emphasis on systematic road maintenance for smooth traffic movement.
With 7 complaints received today regarding solid waste collection and disposal, the Commissioner instructed officials to ensure timely collection and disposal of waste in all wards.
A total of 7 complaints were also received regarding hazardous trees and branches. The forest officials present on site were directed to take immediate precautionary action and clear such risks without delay.
During today’s Phone-In Programme, 47 calls were received, resulting in 63 complaints being officially registered. Each complaint is being reviewed, and necessary instructions have been issued to the concerned officials for appropriate action.
