Police Crackdown on Drug Networks: Narcotics worth Rs 5.25 Cr Seized

In a sweeping crackdown on the city’s narcotics trade, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Anti-Narcotics Wing and North Division Police of Bengaluru have arrested six individuals, including two foreign nationals and seized high-grade narcotics valued at over Rs 5.25 crore.

Under the Bagalur Police Station limits, the CCB team raided a residence in Mohan Kumar Layout, apprehending two foreign nationals who had entered India on student visas in 2024. Investigations revealed that the duo procured MDMA crystals from Delhi at lower rates and sold them at premium prices in Bengaluru.

Seized 1.12 kg of MDMA crystals, electronic weighing scales, and mobile phones, estimated value Rs 2.20 crore.

In a separate operation under Ashoknagar Police Station limits, the CCB arrested a peddler. The accused admitted to sourcing HydroGanja from Kerala for local distribution. Seized 2 kg of Hydro-Ganja estimated value Rs 2 crore.

Acting on a tip-off received on December 8, the Sanjaynagar Police dismantled a Hydro-Ganja distribution network operating near Bhoopsandra and Avalahalli. Two individuals were first arrested near Railway Parlor Road. Interrogation led to the arrest of a third accomplice near Mandur, Boodigere Road. A bulk stash was discovered in a residence.

1.05 kg of Hydro-Ganja was seized along with a car used for transport, cash reserved, estimated value of Rs 1.05 crore.
