Residencial Sites Allotment

37 Families Receive Housing Sites as Part of Government Land Grant Program

Gubbi Taluk

In a significant welfare initiative, 37 eligible beneficiaries from Udaguru village in Gubbi taluk have been officially allotted residential sites under the government’s land distribution scheme. The allotted plots, measured at 5,469 sq. ft collectively, were handed over to the families during a special program organized at the village. MLA P.M. Narendraswamy presided over the event and personally distributed the official grant documents to the beneficiaries.

Speaking at the program, MLA Narendraswamy emphasized that the government is committed to providing shelter and security to landless families. He said that effective implementation of such welfare schemes ensures social stability and helps rural families build a sustainable future. Special attention was given to families belonging to economically weaker sections, ensuring transparency throughout the selection and verification process.

As part of the allocation plan, sites were distributed in three categories based on eligibility and land availability. Beneficiaries ranked 1 to 4 were given plots in the first zone, 5 to 7 in the second zone, and 8 to 10 in the third zone.

Officials ensured that allotted sites met basic requirements and adhered to proper land records. Tahsildar, revenue officers and gram panchayat members supervised the verification process to prevent discrepancies in land markings.

During the event, several officials including revenue staff, village accountants, panchayat development officers and committee members were present. They coordinated closely with the MLA to execute the scheme in an orderly and transparent manner. The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the government for fulfilling a long-pending demand for secure housing sites.

In addition to housing site distribution, MLA Narendraswamy also highlighted other developmental works underway in the region, including road improvements, drinking water facilities and agricultural support schemes. He assured that similar welfare programs will continue in the coming months to support more families in rural pockets.
