National Lok Adalat on Dec 13 in Mandya district

Mandya

The Karnataka State Legal Services Authority has announced that a National Lok Adalat will be held across the state on December 13. In Mandya district, all seven taluks will organize preparatory sessions to resolve pending cases efficiently. The Lok Adalat will address civil disputes, property conflicts, partition suits, recovery cases, motor vehicle claims, matrimonial disputes, compromiseable criminal cases, cheque bounce cases, electricity and water fee disputes, labor disputes, and other pre-litigation matters.

During the Lok Adalat, judges and experienced lawyers will mediate between parties, aiming for amicable settlements. Cases resolved through Lok Adalat will be free of court fees, and previously paid fees will be refunded. Decisions are final and binding, with no option for further appeals.

Both pending court cases and pre-litigation disputes, including bank loan recovery, utility fee disputes, labor cases, compromiseable criminal matters, and family court cases, can be brought to the Lok Adalat. Notices will be issued to all parties, and settlements can be made directly or through lawyers, ensuring faster resolution and saving time and money.

Additionally, the state government has offered a 50% concession on fines for pending traffic challans recorded between 1991–92 and 2019–20. Citizens can pay these fines at Mandya city traffic police or any district police station counters from November 21 to December 12, 2025, and settle their cases efficiently. The public is encouraged to take advantage of this initiative to resolve disputes quickly through the National Lok Adalat.
