Agniveers graduate at Madras Engineer Group Parade


BENGALURU

The Madras Engineer Group & Centre hosted the Passing Out Parade for the sixth batch of 788 Agniveers, marking the completion of their rigorous training and induction into the Indian Army. The iconic Drill Square came alive with ceremonial precision as the young soldiers marched to the beats of the military band, showcasing the high standards and discipline instilled by the Centre.

Brigadier Ajay Singh Thakur, Commandant of the Madras Engineer Group & Centre, reviewed the parade and praised the Agniveers for their professionalism and dedication. A key moment of the ceremony was the presentation of the ‘Gaurav Padak’, where parents proudly pinned the rank insignia of ‘Thambi Sapper’ on their sons, symbolizing their transformation from trainees to soldiers.

The Centre arranged special reception, stay, and transport facilities for families to ensure they could participate fully in the celebrations. The event concluded with veterans, senior officers, and guests interacting with families, sharing in the pride and joy of this significant milestone.

The Passing Out Parade was a celebration of courage, commitment, and the values upheld by the Madras Sappers and the Indian Army.
