Swabhimani Bana Launch
RAMANAGARA
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike State President P. Krishne Gowda said that Kannada can grow strongly at the grassroots level only when people raise a united, non-partisan, and secular voice for the survival of the language. He was speaking at the inauguration of the City Shine branch of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Swabhimani Bana and the Kannada Rajyotsava celebration held in Hejjala village of Bidadi Hobli.
Gowda said that whenever issues of land, water, or language arise, every citizen, even the most humble, must speak up. He reminded people not to join the organisation for personal gain or political benefits. He added that the Swabhimani Bana wing is committed to both social work and continuous struggle for Kannada. As part of its service efforts, the organisation has adopted 48 schools across Karnataka and is working to improve their development.
State in-charge president Shivagouda said that the organisation is building strong units at the village, hobli, taluk, district, and state levels. He said their aim is to support the voiceless, stand against injustice, and provide help through service activities. This, he added, will make the organisation stronger and closer to the people.
Manchanayakanahalli Gram Panchayat member Shantaraju and former member Venkatesh also addressed the gathering. During the event, retired soldier Ninganna Gowdar, theatre artist Venkatachari, and retired teacher Krishnappa were honoured for their work in different fields.
