The Constitution is the strongest guide for people to live with equality and dignity, said Devanahalli Block Congress President K.C. Manjunath during the Constitution Day program held at the tourist temple in Devanahalli town. He said every citizen must respect and follow the Constitution in daily life.
The program was organized by the Congress Party to mark November 26 as Constitution Day. Manjunath first laid a wreath at the picture of the Preamble and then led the gathering in taking the Constitution pledge. He said the Constitution has given people the right to speak freely, live with justice, and enjoy equal opportunities in society. He reminded people that these rights must be protected by respecting the law.
Bangalore International Airport Area Planning Authority President V. Shanthakumar said Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and other leaders who drafted the Constitution made great sacrifices for the country. He said the Constitution should never be misused or weakened for any reason, as it is the backbone of Indian democracy.
Block Congress Women’s Wing President Radha Reddy said the Constitution created the pillars of democracy like the legislature, executive, judiciary, and media. She explained that all these systems work under the guidance of the Constitution and called on people to follow constitutional values in everyday life.
Several leaders attended the program, including Taluk Guarantee Scheme President C. Jagannath, Biovaja Director Prasanna Kumar, District Youth Congress President K.R. Nagesh, General Secretary Nagegowda, Vijayapura Block Congress President Dinnuru Venkatesh, and Anneshwara Gram Panchayat President Chandrashekhar.
Other leaders and activists like Ravikumar, Ramachandrappa, Muniraju, Radhareddy, Madhavi, Kantharaju, Doddathattamangala Ramesh, Sasikala, David, and Narayanaswamy were also present. The program ended with all participants renewing their commitment to protect constitutional values and strengthen unity.
