High Command Will Take Final Call on CM Change: Madhu Bangarappa

BENGALURU

Minister Madhu Bangarappa on Tuesday asserted that there is no confusion within the Congress regarding the leadership issue, stating that the party will fully abide by the high command’s decision on any change of Chief Minister.

Speaking at Vidhana Soudha amid ongoing speculation over the Siddaramaiah–DK Shivakumar power tussle, he said he does not belong to any faction. “I am not part of any group. I don’t know why some MLAs have gone to Delhi. We are unaware of discussions on a possible CM change or any 2.5-year power-sharing agreement,” he said.

Bangarappa stressed that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge routinely interacts with the CM and Deputy CM, calling it a normal process. “If there is any confusion, the high command will resolve it. I don’t know why DK Suresh made certain statements regarding the CM,” he added.

Reiterating his stance, the minister said, “We all follow the high command. Whatever decision they announce will be final.”
