Suriya 47 Filming To Begin December Eighth In Kerala

After much anticipation, production for Suriya 47, the highly awaited collaboration between Tamil superstar Suriya and Malayalam director Jithu Madhavan, is officially set to begin on December 8 in the scenic locales of Kerala. The film will feature Suriya as a charismatic police officer, promising a high-energy entertainer with strong mass appeal.

Reports indicate that preparations are in full swing, including set construction and location scouting. The Kerala schedule is expected to be extensive before the team moves to other locations for subsequent shoots. Talented Malayalam actors and skilled technicians, similar to those in Jithu Madhavan’s previous hits Romancham and Aavesham, are likely to join the project.

Actors Naslen and Nazriya Nazim are reportedly in talks to be part of the cast, though official confirmation is pending. Earlier speculation suggested filming might only commence after Suriya completed his project with director Venky Atluri, but the makers have now announced the schedule.

Suriya 47 marks the first collaboration between the superstar and the Malayalam filmmaker, generating significant excitement among fans. The film is being promoted as a full-on entertainer with action, drama, and mass appeal, highlighting Suriya in a cop avatar.

Interestingly, director Jithu Madhavan’s upcoming ventures have attracted attention beyond Suriya. Superstar Mohanlal revealed in a 2024 conversation with Baradwaj Rangan that he is also committed to a project with the director, emphasizing his interest in working with talented new filmmakers. Meanwhile, Suriya is preparing for his next action entertainer Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji, expected to release before Suriya 47 hits theatres.

With the December 8 start date confirmed, fans can look forward to a thrilling entertainer combining Suriya’s star power with Jithu Madhavan’s filmmaking style.
