Former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa said that the Congress has once again faced a major defeat, this time in Bihar, where voters chose the NDA after recognising the development and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to reporters in Shivamogga, he said the election results clearly reflect people’s approval of Modi’s governance. According to him, both Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah played a crucial role in crafting an effective strategy that led to the NDA’s victory in the state.
Yediyurappa added that the people have rejected the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, which he said is evident from the Congress party’s poor performance. He further stated that the decision on who will serve as Bihar’s Chief Minister will be taken jointly by Modi and Amit Shah after due discussions, as the mandate has strongly favoured their leadership.
Shifting focus to Karnataka, Yediyurappa addressed concerns related to sugarcane farmers. He assured that the ongoing issues faced by sugarcane growers will be resolved soon. The state government, he said, must respond seriously and take appropriate measures to address the challenges affecting farmers. He urged the administration to act swiftly to provide relief and ensure that farmers’ demands are met without delay.
Yediyurappa reiterated that the Bihar results send a strong message about national leadership and governance, and that people across the country continue to place their trust in the NDA because of Modi’s developmental agenda and decisive leadership.
