The Bengaluru Rural District Administration, in association with the Zilla Panchayat, Women and Child Development Department, District Balabhavan Society, and School Education Department, will celebrate Children’s Day at Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan in Devanahalli Town at 10 am on Friday.
As per officials, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Bengaluru Rural District In-charge KH Muniyappa will inaugurate the event. Minister for Women and Child Welfare Lakshmi Hebbalkar and several dignitaries, including C Narayanaswamy, Sharath Kumar Bachegowda, and Chikkaballapur MP Dr K Sudhakar will be present.
The event aims to honor Jawaharlal Nehru’s love for children and inspire young students to pursue excellence with dedication and creativity, they said.
The programme will feature speeches, cultural performances, and activities emphasizing children’s rights, education, and empowerment. Representatives from various local bodies, including municipal and gram panchayat officials, will join the celebration along with students, teachers, and parents from across the district.
