Bengaluru East City Corporation (BECC) is pushing forward with development projects to improve city infrastructure and commuter convenience.
On Thursday, Lokhande Snehal Sudhakar, Additional Commissioner (Development), conducted on-site inspections of key ongoing works, including road resurfacing, pothole repairs, storm-water drain construction, and a community hall project.
At Hagadur and Naggondanahalli, the Commissioner checked the recently resurfaced roads. He reviewed the quality of the work to ensure it meets the set standards, stressing that residents deserve smooth and safe travel.
During his visit to Hagadur’s storm-water drain project, he inspected the retaining wall construction and instructed officials to speed up work while maintaining proper slope alignment. This step is intended to prevent waterlogging and ensure smooth drainage during rains.
In Nallurhalli, Siddapura Road, and Varthur–Gunjur Road, pothole repair works were closely reviewed. The Commissioner directed officials to complete all pending repairs quickly to avoid inconvenience and enhance commuter safety.
At the community hall under construction in Nallurhalli, the focus was on completing the first-floor roof slab. The Additional Commissioner urged engineers to adhere to timelines without compromising quality.
He emphasized that urban infrastructure projects have a direct impact on citizens’ daily lives. Officials were warned that any negligence or delays would result in accountability measures. He underlined that all civic works, including road repairs, drainage, and construction projects, must be completed promptly and to the highest standards.
Executive Engineer Raghavendra BN, Assistant Executive Engineers Gururajan and Ravikumar, and Assistant General Manager Jyoti Choulkar, along with other officials, accompanied the Commissioner during the inspection.
The city administration’s active supervision highlights its commitment to safer roads, better drainage, and timely completion of community facilities, reflecting a stronger focus on quality and service for Bengaluru residents.
