RADIOLOGIST HARASSES PATIENT

A disturbing case of sexual harassment has come to light at a scanning center in Anekal, where a female patient was allegedly molested by a radiologist while undergoing a medical scan.
According to the police complaint, the accused, radiologist Jayakumar, working at the Anekal scanning center, is alleged to have sexually harassed the woman during the procedure. Reports state that he inappropriately touched her private parts and exhibited lewd behavior. When the woman objected, he reportedly threatened her to ensure she did not speak about the incident, using abusive language and menacing gestures.
The woman, who had visited the center with her husband for a routine scan due to abdominal pain, managed to record parts of the harassment on her mobile phone. Acting swiftly, she filed a complaint at the Anekal police station.
However, despite the FIR, police have not yet arrested Jayakumar. Sources indicate that he was called to the station but later released.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Bengaluru. The Anekal police have registered a formal case under relevant sections pertaining to sexual harassment and assault. Authorities are investigating the incident, and the public and medical community are expressing concern over patient safety and professional accountability in healthcare facilities.
