Minister K.H. Muniyappa inaugurated a ₹13 crore sports complex project and launched an animal vaccination drive in Devanahalli.

Fulfilling a long-cherished dream of Devanahalli residents, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Bengaluru Rural District In-charge K.H. Muniyappa announced that the town’s sports stadium would soon be developed at an estimated cost of ₹13 crore. The project will include the construction of basketball, volleyball, and kabaddi courts, a walking path, and other essential public amenities aimed at promoting sports and healthy living.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the works organized by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, and the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Muniyappa said the long-standing demand of the people was finally being realized. He instructed officials to complete the project within 11 months, ensuring high-quality construction and proper infrastructure for all sports enthusiasts. The Minister added that the walking path would serve as a space for citizens to enjoy morning walks and encourage youth participation in sports activities.
Muniyappa also inaugurated the eighth round of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccination drive for cattle in the district. The campaign, which will run from November 3 to December 2, aims to prevent the spread of FMD and protect livestock health. He appealed to farmers to get their cattle vaccinated promptly and emphasized that regular preventive measures would help control the disease while improving milk and livestock production.
During the program, 50 beneficiaries received fodder-cutting machines from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services. The event saw participation from BIAL Chairman Shantakumar, Devanahalli Taluk Implementation Authority Chairman C. Jagannath, Municipal President Munikrishna, Deputy Commissioner A.B. Basavaraju, ZP CEO Dr. K.N. Anuradha, and other senior officials and citizens.
