The Sri Harsha Seva Foundation will organize a special awareness program titled Youth Awareness Campaign Towards Agriculture on November 4 at 10 a.m. at the Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Kalamandira in Mandya. The event, held in memory of K.M. Harsha, aims to inspire youth participation in agriculture and promote the concept of My Food, My Health, My Responsibility.
Renowned natural farming expert Positive Thammayya will lead the discussions and workshops, which will focus on food responsibility, value addition, processing, market expansion, and online marketing. Adichunchanagiri Hassan branch mutt secretary Shambhunatha Swamiji will grace the occasion, while Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kumar will inaugurate the event. MLA P. Ravikumar will preside, and Zilla Panchayat CEO K.R. Nandini will launch the organic fair.
Two book, Aaharave Amrutha, Dinachariye Jeevana by Dr. K.M. Harinikumara and Ejo Meenu Maratakalla by Dr. Doddegowda — will be released by Prof. B. Shivalingayya. Experts such as Positive Thammayya, Yogesh Appajayya, Dr. Manjunath, and Sridhar Rao will deliver keynote lectures. Lion Dr. Krishnegowda will unveil the Harsha Krishi Prerana Institution’s nameplate.
In the evening, the Sri Harsha Kayakashree Awards ceremony and Sri Manteswamy Kathaprasanga theatre performance will take place at 5:30 p.m. The event will be graced by Dr. Nishchalanandanatha Swamiji of the Vishva Okkaligara Mahasamsthana Mutt and Bharat Arasu of Manteswamy Mutt.
Dr. Meera Shivalingayya, Secretary of SB Education Trust, will preside, while First Circle State President Dr. D. Muniraju and Lions District Governor Siddegowda will present the awards.
The Harsha State-level Kayakashree Awards will honour farmers, social workers, and soldiers, including Yogesh Appajayya, Somé Gowda, Shivaramé Gowda, Santosh Thimme Gowda, Lakshmi Thimmappa, Lakshmish, M.E. Shivanna, soldier Shivaprasad, and civic worker Padma Rangaswamy.
