The efforts of the Negila Yogi Samaj Seva Trust in empowering women were lauded by Ullal Ward Nagarik Vedike President S. Madaiah, who distributed free sewing machines to more than 50 women trained in tailoring.
The event, organised jointly by Ullal Ward Nagarik Vedike, Negila Yogi Samaj Seva Trust, and Divya Jyothi Seva Trust, was held on the occasion of the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava at Ullal Ward Nagega House in Yeshwantpur constituency. Madaiah said the initiative would help women become self-reliant and financially independent.
Dr. Venkatappa, Proprietor of Kanva Diagnostic Services Limited, said such initiatives empower women to become self-employed and improve their livelihoods. He stressed the importance of identifying eligible beneficiaries and ensuring that they make the best use of the opportunity.
Ullal Ward Citizens’ Forum Vice-President Ashok Ramasandra, Guarantee Committee President Anil Kumar, and Kanva Diagnostic Services representatives B. M. Shashidhar and Ramdas Nayak were also present on the occasion.
