Devotion to God leads to a blessed life: M.B. Puranik

“Life itself is a divine gift, and selfless service done with devotion reaches God,” said noted thinker and social leader M.B. Puranik. Speaking at a special meeting organized by the Paryaya Reception Committee in Udupi, he emphasized that taking part in temple festivities and divine service is a sacred act. “For the people of Udupi, the Paryaya festival is a unique opportunity to serve the Almighty. Participating in it is truly the path to a blessed life,” he remarked.

Puranik highlighted the spiritual and cultural importance of the biennial Paryaya tradition, which symbolizes dedication and community harmony. He urged devotees to contribute wholeheartedly to make the upcoming event a success.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the pre-Paryaya inspection scheduled for November 7, to be attended by Dr. Veerendra Heggade, the honorary president of the reception committee. Committee president Yashpal Suvarna requested the presence of all subcommittee members during the review meeting.

Dr. Udaykumar Saralathaya, the Math’s Diwan, appealed for the cooperation of devotees to ensure the smooth conduct of the grand event. General Secretary Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde provided details about the ongoing arrangements and logistical planning for the festival.

Several dignitaries, including Gopalakrishna Asranna, Jayakar Shetty Indrali, Jayaprakash Kedlaya, Prasada Raj Kanchan, and Mohan Bhat, were present. Ashwattha Bharadwaj welcomed the guests and compered the program.
