South Western Railway Announces Special Express Trains for Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Centenary Celebrations

The South Western Railway has announced special express train services to commemorate the centenary celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. These trains will operate between Anakapalle and Yelahanka, providing additional travel options for devotees and passengers during the celebration period.

According to railway officials, the Anakapalle–Yelahanka Special Express (Train No. 07409) will depart from Anakapalle on November 13 (Thursday) at 5:15 p.m. and arrive at Yelahanka the next day at 12:30 p.m. In the return direction, the Yelahanka–Anakapalle Special Express (Train No. 07410) will leave Yelahanka on November 14 (Friday) at 2:00 p.m. and reach Anakapalle the following morning at 11:00 a.m.

Each special train will comprise 23 coaches, including AC sleeper, non-AC sleeper, and general compartments, ensuring comfort and convenience for passengers.

The trains will halt at several important stations along the route, including Elamanchili, Tuni, Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada Junction, Guntur Junction, Narasaraopet, Vinukonda, Donakonda, Markapur Road, Cumbum, Giddalur, Diguvametta, Nandyal, Dhone, Gooty, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, and Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam.

Railway authorities stated that the special services are aimed at reducing passenger congestion and ensuring a smooth travel experience for devotees visiting Prasanthi Nilayam, the spiritual headquarters of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, during the centenary events.

This special train initiative underscores the South Western Railway’s commitment to providing efficient and passenger-friendly services during major cultural and religious occasions.
