GBA Rajyotsava Celebration
Bengaluru
The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) celebrated the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava with grandeur and pride by organizing flag hoisting ceremonies at the offices of all five city corporations under its jurisdiction. The celebrations reflected the spirit of unity, cultural heritage, and pride associated with Karnataka’s formation day.
At each city corporation office, officials, staff members, and local representatives gathered to pay tribute to the Kannada language, culture, and the state’s remarkable journey since its unification in 1956. The GBA Commissioner and senior officers emphasized the importance of preserving Kannada heritage while promoting inclusive urban growth in Bengaluru’s expanding metropolitan region.
The celebrations also included cultural programs featuring Kannada songs, folk dances, and speeches highlighting the contributions of Karnataka’s great leaders, poets, and reformers. Employees adorned traditional attire, and the premises were decorated with red and yellow flags, symbolizing Kannada pride.
Speaking on the occasion, GBA officials urged citizens to uphold Kannada’s prominence in administration and daily life, while also fostering harmony among diverse linguistic communities residing in Bengaluru.
The 70th Kannada Rajyotsava celebration by the Greater Bengaluru Authority stood as a vibrant reminder of the city’s enduring connection to Karnataka’s linguistic and cultural identity.
