Karnataka’s Higher Education Minister Dr. M.C. Sudhakar has stated that Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar possesses all the necessary qualities to become the Chief Minister. Responding to reports of a possible political “revolution” in November, he dismissed them as baseless rumours, saying there is no such revolution, only unnecessary speculation. “The Congress high command is currently focused on the Bihar elections. We are all committed to following the decisions taken by the high command, the Chief Minister, and the Deputy Chief Minister,” he clarified.

Commenting on Shivakumar’s prospects, Sudhakar said, “If there’s an opportunity for someone to become Chief Minister, who would say no? DK Shivakumar is capable and has the required leadership qualities. Both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar have worked together as a strong team. Whatever decision the high command makes, we will stand by it.”

Taking a lighter tone during his speech, Sudhakar joked about the changing times, saying, “Even newborns today want smartphones. As soon as they get one, they start blinking and playing with it.”

Meanwhile, Chikkaballapur MLA Pradeep Eshwar echoed similar sentiments, saying, “We don’t know of any revolution in the state. We are fully committed to the decisions of the CM, DCM, and the party high command.”

Dr. Sudhakar also expressed hope for inclusion in the upcoming cabinet expansion, saying he would like to serve in some capacity. “I am the only MLA from the Balija community and I aspire to be a minister,” he added.
