The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has announced the top 20 finalist Schools and PU Colleges from across the city’s five municipal corporations that will take part in the Makkala Climate Action Sabhe 2025, a flagship platform celebrating youth-led environmental action. The announcement marks the official start of the countdown to the event, which will be held on November 7, 2025.
The GBA’s Climate Action Cell shortlisted the 20 finalists based on their innovative sustainability projects, community engagement, and climate awareness initiatives. These institutions will represent Bengaluru’s emerging climate leadership, showcasing the city’s commitment to nurturing environmentally conscious youth.
The Makkala Climate Action Sabhe aims to empower young citizens to participate actively in shaping local climate policies and sustainable urban planning.
