A Bengaluru Rural police team raided a rave party being held at a private resort near Devigere Cross on the outskirts of the city early Saturday and detained around 130 individuals, including 35 women. The operation was led by Bengaluru South Superintendent of Police R. Srinivas Gowda following a tip-off that a late-night rave party was underway in neighbouring Ramanagara district.

The raid, conducted around 3 a.m. by Kaggalipura police, uncovered a large gathering of mostly Bengaluru residents. All detainees were taken to the Ramanagara District Hospital for medical examination to determine whether they had consumed narcotic substances. Preliminary investigations suggest the event was organised through a WhatsApp group, and drug use is suspected.

Police sources said the property, allegedly owned by a person named Suhas Gowda, was being operated illegally as a homestay without proper permission or licence. Media personnel attempting to film the operation were reportedly stopped by the police. Certain materials recovered from the scene have been sent for forensic analysis, while organisers and property owners are being questioned.

Officials stated that further details regarding the suspected drug use and the organisers’ involvement will emerge as the investigation progresses. The raid falls under the jurisdiction of Kaggalipura police station. This incident follows a similar case in May when Bengaluru police busted a “birthday party” at a farmhouse in Kannamangala, detaining 31 people, including IT professionals. That operation led to the seizure of cocaine, hydro-ganja, hashish, and other narcotics.
