The 4th death anniversary of Karnataka Ratna and Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar was marked with deep emotion and devotion at Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru on Tuesday. His wife, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, along with family members Shivarajkumar, Geetha Shivarajkumar, Yuvarajkumar, and Vinay Rajkumar, visited Appu’s memorial to offer prayers and perform rituals.
The family prepared Puneeth’s favorite dishes as part of the ceremony. Fans from across Karnataka gathered in large numbers, chanting Appu! Appu! while holding flowers. Many also cheered for Yuvarajkumar, affectionately calling him Junior Power Star.
This year’s remembrance event featured the launch of a new mobile app called Appu FanDham, created especially for Puneeth’s fans. The family also paid respects at the memorials of Dr. Rajkumar and Parvathamma Rajkumar. Puneeth’s tomb was beautifully decorated with white and pink roses, symbolizing peace and love.
Fans organized several social service programs, including food distribution (annasantarpane), blood donation, and eye donation camps throughout the day at the studio premises.
Though Puneeth Rajkumar left the world four years ago, his humanitarian work, kindness, and memorable performances continue to inspire millions. For his fans, Appu is not just a name but a feeling that lives forever — a star whose light will never fade.
