Cyclone Montha: Widespread rain forecast in Karnataka till October 30, IMD

The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Udupi will experience thundershowers with gusts of up to 30-40 kmph, and an orange alert has been issued for these three districts. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of heavy rain with thundershowers in Bidar, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Vijayapura and Yadgir districts. There will be moderate rain in Bidar, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Vijayapura and Yadgir districts.

The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of thundershowers at some places in Bellary, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davangere, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumkur and Vijayanagar districts.

Cloudy weather to persist

Bengaluru will witness cloudy weather with a 60 per cent chance of rain today. The maximum temperature in the city will be 28 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will reach 19 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department said.
