Valmiki community honors talented students with awards

Education is the key to achieving life’s goals, and every member of the Valmiki community must pursue higher education to succeed, emphasized R. Tulasiram, State President of the Youth Wing of the All Karnataka Valmiki Leader Mahasabha. Speaking at an award ceremony held at the Valmiki Bhavan in the city on Sunday, he inaugurated the event organized by the District Unit of the Mahasabha to recognize the community’s talented students and honor outstanding teachers.

Tulasiram urged students to fully utilize government-provided facilities, excel academically, and secure high-ranking positions in society. He stressed that such achievements would not only enhance personal growth but also contribute to the progress of the community. According to him, political power is essential for implementing community development initiatives, and unity within the Valmiki community is crucial to achieve this. He added that embracing other communities with respect and cooperation would strengthen overall social organization.

The event saw participation from prominent leaders, including North Karnataka President Mareppa Nayak, District President Devindrappa Gowda Aldal, and several others such as Shridhar Patil, Bhimaranagundi, Kantu Patil, S.S. Nayak, Shridhar Raichur of BJP Youth Wing, Surapura Taluk leader Mareppa Patti, Ramesh Dore, B.B. Narasappa Nayak, former block Congress leaders Surdashan Nayak, city council member Hanmant Nayak, Mahaveer Nayak, Assistant Director of Social Welfare Rajkumar, Bhimaray Ranagundi, Basalingappa Hulakal, Basavaraj Neelahalli, and others.

The ceremony recognized outstanding students with talent awards and teachers with excellence awards, encouraging them to continue striving for academic and professional success, while reinforcing the importance of community development through education and unity.
