Udupi
A workshop on uploading all Waqf properties of Udupi district to the UWMEED portal will be held on October 23 at 11 a.m. in the Udupi Jamia Masjid auditorium.
The session aims to guide the presidents, secretaries, mutawallis, administrative officers, and caretakers of all Waqf institutions in the district on mandatory registration as “makers” under Section 32(2)(d) of the Waqf Act. Participants will also be instructed on uploading accurate records of their respective Waqf properties to the portal.
The Karnataka State Waqf Board has emphasized that registration and uploading of property records must be completed within 30 days. To ensure compliance, the district Waqf officer has directed that all heads, secretaries, mutawallis, administrative officials, and caretakers of Waqf institutions attend the workshop.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to digitize Waqf property records, improve transparency, and streamline management, ensuring that data on Waqf assets is accurate, accessible, and in line with statutory requirements.
The workshop will provide practical training, answer queries, and help participants understand the portal’s functionality, ensuring smooth and timely completion of the digitization process.
