Motorcyclist dies on the spot after collision with goods lorry in Mysuru

A tragic road accident in Mysuru claimed the life of a motorcyclist after his bike collided with a goods lorry. The incident occurred within the limits of the NR Traffic Police Station, where officers have registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

According to preliminary reports, the rider, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, was travelling on a two-wheeler when a speeding goods lorry rammed into his vehicle. The impact was so severe that the motorcyclist succumbed to injuries on the spot. Eyewitnesses alerted the local police and emergency services immediately after the crash.

The body was later shifted to a nearby government hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have seized both vehicles involved and are verifying CCTV footage from the surrounding area to determine the sequence of events.

Officials from the NR Traffic Police said that rash and negligent driving appears to be a possible cause of the accident. They added that the lorry driver fled the scene but efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the suspect. The tragic incident has once again highlighted the need for strict enforcement of traffic regulations and increased public awareness about road safety in the city.
