The Karnataka Human Rights Committee organized a protest in Kolar demanding strict action against illegal admissions being carried out by several CBSE and ICSE schools operating without official approval. The protest, which included a human chain and a rally, was held in front of the DDPI office.

State President of the Committee, Galpete K.C. Santosh, alleged that many schools in the district were admitting students without proper recognition from CBSE or ICSE boards. He emphasized that each school should mandatorily display their fee structure and approval certificate on their name boards to ensure transparency. Despite earlier appeals to the District Commissioner, no action has been taken by education officials, leading to public dissatisfaction.

Santosh accused education officers and deputy directors of negligence for failing to take action against unauthorized schools, thereby deceiving parents and students. Schools such as SFS School in Malur, Chaitanya Techno School in Kolar, and Deccan International School in Mulbagal were named as examples allegedly conducting admissions illegally.

He urged the district administration to intervene and initiate legal action against institutions violating government norms. According to reports, only 25 CBSE and 10 ICSE schools in Kolar and Chikkaballapur districts have proper recognition, while several others continue to operate unlawfully. The committee submitted a memorandum to the DDPI seeking immediate steps to regulate these schools.

Several district and youth wing leaders, including Ravi, Srinath, and Manjunath Swamy, participated in the protest.
