Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a leader who has been working tirelessly for the all-round development of the country during his 11 years in power.
He was speaking at the Vishnu Sahasranama Havana programme organised by the Nityananda Yoga Ashram of Kondevur Math at the Devanga Sangha in the city on Sunday as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birth anniversary.
Modi has made dozens of development contributions to the development of the country. Just two days ago, he launched projects worth about Rs 45,000 crore for the country’s farming community under the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and the National Pulses Yojana, he said.
Modi is working in his own way to build a strong India, and people everywhere are wishing him good health. It is commendable that the Nityananda Yoga Ashram is also organizing various social programs, he said.
Dayanandpuri Swamiji of Hampi Hemakuta Sansthan, Yogananda Saraswati Swamiji of Kondevur Math, Rajya Sabha members Jaggesh, Narayan, former member KC Ramamurthy, retired IPS officer G Ramesh, S Guruprasad and Dharmaprasad of Shankara Eye Hospital were present.
In an eye treatment camp organized in collaboration with Shankar Eye Hospital in Bengaluru, Prasad Nethralaya Super Specialty Hospital in Mangalore, Dayanand Pai and Satish Pai Charitable Trust, and OneSite Essilor Luxottica Foundation, 500 people were examined and some were given glasses. Swadeshi soaps produced in the monastery’s cowshed were distributed.
