Famous filmmaker Atlee showed great admiration for Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 by driving over two and a half hours in Amsterdam to watch the film on its opening day. In an interview, Atlee said he could not miss the chance to see the prequel to the 2022 hit Kantara, even while abroad.
Atlee, who directed the recent hit Jawan, praised Rishab Shetty for his outstanding work as both actor and director in the film. Calling Shetty’s performance National Award-worthy, Atlee said, “What he has pulled off is something not humanly possible.” He added that directing such a complex film while also playing the lead role requires great skill and rhythm.
Kantara: Chapter 1 stars Rishab Shetty along with Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram in important roles. The film is winning praise not only in India but worldwide for its storytelling and execution.
Atlee also mentioned his respect for Shetty as a filmmaker and friend, sharing that he called him right after watching the movie.
Meanwhile, Atlee is busy with his next film, tentatively titled AA22xA6, starring Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone, and other top actors, expected to be a major release.
